1. Introduction
By purchasing from Hilson Computer Solutions (“Company”, “we”, “us”), you (“customer”, “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms govern the sale of products and services provided by Hilson Computer Solutions, including warranties, refunds, payment methods, and other related matters. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our services or purchasing our products.

2. Product Warranty & Coverage
We are committed to providing high-quality products and services. Our warranty coverage is as follows:

  • Warranty Coverage: All computers, printers, monitors, televisions, sound systems, and projectors sold by Hilson Computer Solutions are covered by a 90-day limited warranty, which begins from the date of purchase. The warranty for computers covers the following components:
    • Motherboard
    • Hard drive
    • System memory (RAM)
    • Keyboard
    • Processor
  • Battery Warranty: The battery of any laptop or device is covered for 10 days from the date of purchase.
  • Accessories Warranty: Laptop chargers and other accessories are covered by a 30-day limited warranty.
  • Exclusions: The following are not covered under the warranty:
    • Physical damage resulting from improper handling or misuse by the customer
    • Shipping or delivery costs associated with returning products
    • Software-related issues (including operating system failures or viruses)
    • Damage caused by third-party accessories or power-related issues
    • Products that have been tampered with, modified, or altered by unauthorized personnel
    • Opened or used software, printer inks, cartridges, or toners
    • Items sold as-is or from stock clearance sales, including used items
  • Warranty Claims: To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us within the warranty period and provide the original proof of purchase. We will assess the issue and offer repair, replacement, or a refund, subject to availability.

3. Payment Methods
All prices on our website and in-store are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GHS). We offer several convenient payment methods, including:

  • Mobile Money
  • Bank transfers (delivery will be processed once payment is cleared)
  • Cheque (must be issued to “Hilson Computer Solutions”, delivery processed upon clearance)
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) for Greater Accra Region only (orders outside Greater Accra must be prepaid)

For all transactions, please ensure that the correct payment details are provided to avoid delays.

4. Returns & Refunds
Customers may return products under the following conditions:

  • Manufacturer Defects or Color Discrepancies: Products must be returned within 72 hours from purchase if found defective or if there is a color discrepancy.
  • Return Conditions:
    • The product must be in original, unused condition with no signs of misuse
    • All accessories, manuals, and packaging must be included
    • Proof of purchase must be provided
  • Non-Returnable Items:
    • Opened or used software
    • Used printer inks, cartridges, or toners
    • Special-order or customized products, including hardware upgrades for computers
  • Refunds: Refunds are only permitted in cases of manufacturer defects and only if an acceptable replacement is unavailable. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days and issued to the original payment method, excluding shipping or delivery charges.

5. Installment Payment/Deposit Policy
For customers choosing the installment payment option:

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total product price is required to reserve the item.
  • The remaining balance must be paid within 60 days.
  • A late fee of 5% of the outstanding balance will be applied for each month the payment is overdue.

6. Delivery Terms

  • Shipping Time:
    • Deliveries within Greater Accra typically take 1-2 business days. COD is available for these deliveries.
    • For deliveries outside Greater Accra, estimated delivery time is 1-3 business days and COD is not available.
  • Shipping Charges: Delivery charges are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of the order. Expedited or same-day deliveries incur additional charges.
  • Shipping Address: Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. If the product is returned due to an incorrect address, the customer will be liable for the re-shipping costs.
  • Delivery Delays: We are not liable for any delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or logistical issues.

7. Pricing Policy

  • All products are sold at fixed prices. Promotional discounts may be applied periodically.
  • Prices may change without prior notice, and we reserve the right to cancel or adjust orders in the event of a pricing error.

9. Limitation of Liability
Hilson Computer Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products. Our liability is limited to the cost of the product only, and we disclaim any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

11. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Force Majeure
We will not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of our obligations under these Terms due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, government regulations, strikes, or any other event outside our control.
